Flowers for the sun

Brrrrh! Good sunny but cold Good Friday morning to you all. I couldn't believe how bright the sun was when I got up at 8 this morning. There is one drawback though, it has highlighted a load of cobwebs and dusty bits, I am sure they weren't there yesterday, will have to attack them after I have been fortified with a toasted hot cross bun for breakfast!  Today's card was made in one of my UIU bursts. The card is Kanban, background DI, stamp from stash-coloured with Promarkers, some Dawn Bibby glaze of some kind, sentiment Andy Skinner-I think, done with Versamark and liquid pearls. The sun has gone behind a cloud now and some of the dustbits have disappeared, so I won't have to have my eyes tested yet. I have put the last two photo album photos on today. Breakfast, dust attack, play before church at 3. Enjoy your Good Friday, keep warm.

Happy Christmas

Good overcast morning to you all. We had sunshine and patches of blue when I surfaced at 8 o'clock, but all that has gone now, but no white stuff about so far! I have just had a delicious bacon butty that my grandson Nat made for me, even though he did set the smoke alarm off. I have finished my ironing and after I have posted this blog I will vacuum the hall and stairs, that should be it for today. I thought I would post another Christmas card today because of the inclement weather we have been having, hope I am not pushing my luck. The background papers are out of the bit box, they are Kanban, as is the stamp, coloured with Promarkers, and a bit of glitter. Spellbinder Die, peel off and star from stash, border tape from Lakeland when they did craft stuff, how long ago is that? Keep warm.

WOYWW

Good late morning to you all. I know now it's Wednesday, but I did forget, well it is the Easter Holidays, and I had a lie in until 9-30! Well I have finished my ironing and better get this mess explained. If you are wondering why I am showing you this get yourself over to Julia Dunnit ahttp://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk/2013/03/whats-on-your-workdesk-wednesday-199.htmlt  and all will be explained, you can join in too, but be warned, it is addictive. So back to the desk, the tub of bits, scissors, card I posted yesterday, some Kanban toppers, a red bag containing.... hair products not craft products. They are dumped there because I have started a bit- bit being the operative word, of spring cleaning, and just dumped it there for the time being. Well I think that is it for today, I am going for a toot around the world. Keep warm-it is still trying to snow here but not very successfully!

I should know by now to.........

http://happycamperscc.blogspot.co.uk/2013/03/happy-campers-challenge-no-13-add.html

keep my mouth shut! Good snowy morning, didn't I say it wouldn't stick, despite snowing all day, and it didn't, until I drew the curtains and blinds and it tricked me, 2 inches of the white stuff everywhere this morning. It is windy too, so you risk a slap on the back of the neck with it every time you step out the door because it is blowing off the roof. I will have to risk it to fill the bird feeder after, and put the lid back on the compost bin. I am well confused with this Bloglovin', I have joined it but when I clicked on transferring blogs I read, it looked like it was starting to upload them, then nothing happened despite me waiting for ages. Can I not just sort of transfer this blog over there, everyone else seems to have the same looking blog but not me. Help! Well that's my moan done for the moment. I thought of Marie-Louise when I was doing this card, as she often does white on white. I am entering it into Happy Campers  Challenge-Add Dimension. I used Centura Pearl for the card, and a pearlised paper for the die cuts which are all Spellbinders. The pearls, peel-offs  and ribbons are all from my stash. I have put the next two album photos below. Keep warm.

Wedding Album

Good cold and grey, Sunday morning to you all, Happy St Patrick's Day! It's a pity we don't celebrate it as they do in America, we would be in for a great day parades and partying wouldn't we?   No card today, but I thought I would show you the first two pages of the wedding album. I cut round the cherubs etc with my scalpel then mounted the pages over the doily.

Sarah's parents loved it, and her dad went round the tables showing it to everyone, I think they went through the album whether they wanted to or not! We had a great time at her party, and it was good to catch up with old friends.

Well that's it for me folks, breakfast then church. Enjoy your Sunday, keep warm.

http://just-add-ink.blogspot.co.uk/

Good cold and wet morning to you all. I hope all you visitors to the Harrogate Craft Fair have had a safe journey, and are in the warm, drooling and spending, I am thinking about you Sue! Well did we have a good Easter Bingo, we surely did, Giorgia and I won a house and line prize each and then a raffle prize, so all in all we won 12 large eggs and sundry creme eggs and mini eggs. So that will help me out, because with 8 grandchildren that's a good few to buy. Today's card is being entered in the Just add ink challenge-Just add green. Background papers are out of the bit box, but the swirly is definitely Dawn Bibby, Blank topper Kanban, LOTV stamp coloured with Pro-markers and a dusting of Pan Pastels, Doily £1 shop, Spellbinder Dies, Flowers made up from stash, sentiment could be Crafter's Companion. Well that's it for me today, I have just finished my ironing, and am just starting my daughter's. I am going to a 40th party tonight, oh yes I finished the album, so if Sarah agrees I will show you some of the pages. Keep warm.

Glitter glue, sentiment from stash probably Kanban. That's it, I am just going to lock the front door and put my bread in the toaster, after breakfast and housework, I will have time to finish the wedding album for Sarah's mum and dad, just a couple of pages to titivate. I will be able to give it to her tonight when I go to her school's Easter Bingo, as she needs it for tomorrow. All you lucky people going to Harrogate tomorrow, especially Sue! have a great time, don't spend too much. Keep  warm.

http://cupcakecraftchallenges.blogspot.co.uk/

Good cold and frosty morning to you all Habemus Papum!- We have a Pope! Welcome to Francis l, and let's hope and pray he has a positive impact on the world. Can I say thank you and welcome to my new follower Gill aka GibbyFrogget, we have already conversed a few times via WOYWW. I have been looking after 2 of my grandchildren for the last couple of days while their mum and dad are at Cheltenham Races, so I will have to dash to do the school run for the youngest quite soon. This card is one of the selection that I made for my friend's birthday, and I am entering it into the Cupcake Challenge. After I had put it all together I realised that most things are from Kay & Co, and though I bought them at different times probably months apart, the paper goes with the flowers so well. So here goes: Background and Flowers Kay & Co,  blank toppers Kanban, that lovely sentiment is Andy Skinner-I think, and the happy birthdayis from stash, stamped with DI- Old Paper? Anyway that's it for me today, must dash-school run. Keep warm.

It's a key thing, I think!

Good cold, bright snow flurry day to you all, Brrrrrr! I am late today, I have been all in a fluster, because I was a taxi driver. My daughter's car is off the road today, so I offered to take her to work in Bury. I collected her, then picked her daughter up, not far from us, then picked my twin great nieces up in Radcliffe. While we were outside their house I got a phone call from Nat to say the school bus hadn't turned up, they had returned home only I wasn't there. I then drove to Bury, dropped them off, followed my daughter's instructions for the easiest route home, got lost . ended up in Walshaw, eventually got home via Ainsworth. Picked the 3 grandchildren up and dropped them off at school at 9-30, then got home in time for a quiet coffee and toast. Today's card: Background, padlock and ket-TST masks, Idouble heat embossed the padlock and key with clear embossing powder with mica mixed in, then cut them out, blank topper and ticket-Kanban, stamp from CC I think. Well that's it, I am still doing my ironing as I blog! Keep warm.

Good bright and it's trying to snow morning to you all. Hope  all you mums had a lovely day yesterday, and everyone had a good one. This is the last of my grunge cards, but I have got some PVA so might try it again this week. So the grunge background is a TST mask on Bazill card, the other is mop up paper with some Dawn Bibby mica spray, blank topper Kanban, as are  the heat embellished keys, lock, compass, and ticket, the stamp is Crafter's companion I think with a dusting of Pan Pastels, and I think that's it. The snowflakes have disappeared and its just bright now, am going to get ready for school now. Keep warm.

Poppy Decoupage

Good cold and cloudy morning to you all and Happy Mother's Day to all you mums out there. I had a great time on Pat's birthday meal out last night, the food was delicious! Pat loves poppies, and so this was a quick one for my daughter to give to her. The paper is from a 6 inch square Kay & Co pad, which I mounted on this paper from my stash-Kanban I think. Then I decoupaged with another page and put the glitter sentiments  on from my stash, Pat loved it. Well that's it from me today, breakfast then church. Keep warm.

Feeling Floral

http://oldiebutagoodiechallenge.blogspot.co.uk/

Good cold and drizzly morning to you all. I am late posting today, but I have finished my ironing! Can I say thank you and welcome to my new follower SanDee1899, I will be popping round to see you one way or another today. I am entering this first card into the Oldie but a Goodie Challenge-Feeling Floral. So here goes: Background papers are some of my 'oldies' I must have had these for six years, I got them in America when I was visiting my daughter and family, Josef was 6 months old, he was 7 in October-oh yes DCWV. Blank Kanban topper, LOTV stamp coloured in with Pro-markers, Sakura gel pens, flowers and bling from stash that I have had for years, Spellbinder Die, sentiment-Creator's companion I think. Well that's it for my first card.

This next card is one of a group of cards I made for my friends husband to choose from, she is 70 today, and he is still not fully mobile from his knee replacement op. Well not mobile enough to walk to the shop anyway, though he is doing very well. I did a selection, so he had a choice, I didn't take pics until I got back yesterday, he actually chose one with a LOTV stamp on, so hopefully I am slowly educating him into how much effort can go into hand made cards. The one below is the type that he would have chosen at one time, embellishments stuck here and there, but it was a way of using them up. Well that's it from me today, am off out for a celebratory meal with Pat and Edd tonight and am really looking forward to it. Keep warm.

Another Car

Good drizzly morning to you all. I am late today, still in nightwear finishing my brew and blogging, who could ask for anything more. Today's card: Background TST mask and some mopping up paper, compass again TST mask- Versamarked on craft paper,  heat embossed with black embossing powder then cut out with scalpel. Blank  Kanban topper, stamp from stash but possibly Creator's Companion, DI, ticket Kanban stamp heat embossed, and that's it I think. The two pics below are some of the completed Mother's Day cards from school. I went in yesterday afternoon with those flowers and swirls and just let them loose. It was funny, because as it was world book day they were dressed up as book characters, so I called them to me as their character rather than by their name. I think they all did well and it was lovely to see the messages they had put inside as well.So that's it from me, keep warm and dry.

Good dull cold morning to you all, well it's that time again, how does it come round so quickly? What am I talking about? Visit Julia Dunnit at Stamping Ground http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk and all will be revealed. Well that scrap book is there because I have been helping my friend to redo her parent's wedding album, we chose the papers together for each page and then it was up to me, as she needs it for a week on Saturday. So, the screwdriver and hole punch are there because I had to put some extra pages in and so had to extend the posts etc. The poly pocket contains embellishments ready for the next stage. I have already stuck all the journalling tags  in each sleeve ready for my friend to start on Friday evening. the rest is just the usual  mess. Well time to post this and perhaps have a quick visit or two before my shower. Keep warm.
